Garbage is picked up on Mondays in the Town of Greenport Refuse District. 
Three different size bags are available and must be purchased at the Town Hall. 

Trash Bag sizes and prices:

• Small Bag 8 Gal. ---$1.00

• Medium Bag 15 Gal. ---$3.00

• Large Bag 33 Gal. ---$5.00

STICKERS WILL NO LONGER BE SOLD.  Starting immediately, you can trade your stickers in for bags, OR continue to use them until 12/2/24. After 12/2/24, No Bags with Stickers will be picked up. You must use Greenport Town Bags. Any bags with stickers, not picked up after 12/2/24 are the responsibility of the resident and are to be put in proper bags for next pic up. We appreciate your cooperation.

If a holiday falls on a Monday, Tuesday will be the next pick-up day.  

Recyclables in the Town of Greenport Refuse District are picked up on Thursdays.  If Thursday falls on a holiday,
pick-up will be on Friday.

COUNTY BAGS are also available at Greenport Town Hall if you want to go to the Transfer station yourself.
