COLUMBIA COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH ANNUAL INSPECTION:
The Columbia County Department of Health annually inspects the Greenport Water Supply. Residents can access the report of the most recent inspection by clicking the attached link: 2023_ccdoh_insp_report.pdf

PAYING BILLS:
You may now pay your bills online at: edmundsgovpay.com/GreenportTown
Click the above URL and you will be redirected to the web payment page. You may pay by credit card or e-Check. Please note: As we are a municipality, a fee for using a credit card or e-Check will be added to your payment.
Water & Sewer usage is billed bi-annually (in May and October). The Bank of Greene County (Fairview Avenue branch) accepts all payments.
You must have your bill stub to submit payment to the Bank of Greene County.
The six-month bills cover the following time periods: September 1 - February 28 (billed in May) and March 1 - August 31 (billed in October).
WATER/SEWER RATES:
The current residential water rate is:
$3.03/1000 gallons metered for usage from 0-500,000 gallons per six-month billing period.
The current commercial water rates are:
$3.28/1000 gallons metered for usage from 0-500,000 gallons per six-month billing period (there is a minimum charge of 18,000 gallons)
$3.53 /1000 gallons metered for usage from 501,000-1,000,000 gallons per six-month billing period
$4.03/1000 gallons metered for usage from 1,001,000-5,000,000 gallons per six-month billing period
$4.53/1000 gallons metered for usage from 5,001,000 and above per six-month billing period
The current residential sewer rate is:
$4.53/1000 gallons metered. Residential sewer usage is billed at 75% of the metered water usage.
The current commercial sewer rate is:
$6.55/1000 gallons metered. Commercial sewer usage is billed at 75% of the metered water usage.
Out-of-District users (Dutch Village and north on Rt. 66) are billed at 2.5x the in-district rate (using the applicable residential or commercial base rate).
